GPUs not in stock

I'm trying to buy a new gpu and everywhere I look they're either out of stock or $300 more than the original price. Whats the deal?

you been under a rock??? this is what happens with all new electronics, especially the high demand ones. massive consumer demand+scalpers buying every one they can faster than you can(bots)+less supply than the market requires for various reasons(covid mainly).

there are various ways you can obtain the card you want, one is paying one of the scalpers(pos) a huge mark up, please don't feed the beasts though. the other way would be camping sites that monitor various sites for stock, you need to move very quickly when you find one in stock, the window is usually .5-3 minutes at best in my experience.

scalpers, Nvidia making MSRP so low that selling at it would cost AIB's, low supply, etc
