Looking for new Router (AX50, AX58U)

martward

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new router to replace the one my ISP send me. I was looking at the TP-Link AX50 and the Asus AX58U, both get pretty good reviews.

I live in a 75m2, single floor apartment and right now the wifi is pretty bad in the bedroom mostly. Also I want to use it for in-home streaming from my PC to my Chromecast, which are in the same room but relatively far apart. The plan is to put the router as close to the middle as possible. I like the idea of AIMesh that the Asus has, but at the moment I don't have any need for a second access point since I live in an apartment and I'm probably not moving any time soon.

Are there any other reasons to spend €50 more on the Asus (€149 vs €99)? Should I be looking at other routers all together?

Thanks
