2700x + 1660? Good or bad?

I’m trying to put together a build for my brother using a 2700x I already have. I’m wondering if there will be any bottlenecks with this system.

if it's the CPU you already have I wouldn't worry about a bottleneck.

 

though the 1660 super/TI is often barely more expensive than the 1660, I recommend the slight price increase

Ok thanks. That’s what I thought but wanted to double check.

This is the same rig as i'm about to be running, (Upgrading from a Sandy Bridge Xeon CPU and DDR3). The GTX 1660 will most likely handle itself fine, though it could potentially be a small bottleneck, If the 3060 Ti is proved to actually exist, I'd say that would be the best upgrade path... if you are willing to wait quite a long time for the 3000 Series GPUs to start being reasonably priced.
