Ethernet on my pc is 300 Mbps slower than wifi on my phone

I just got internet at my new house and I am paying for 400Mbps download speeds, My pc only gets up to about 90 Mbps and my Phone gets to like 460 Mbps. What could be causing this? My pc is connected via ethernet also.

I'd wager you're connected at 100Mbps on the ethernet port either due to a bad cable or a port on the connected device being limited to 100Mbps. What make/model device is your PC connected to?

Check at what speed the wired connection is running. Could be that it isn't recieving a gigabit signal and only running on 10/100mb

Its a cat 5e cable

best guesses are either a device along the way is limited to 100Mbps, or a cable is damaged. (100Mbps uses two pairs in the ethernet cable, gigabit uses all four pairs)

Go to your network adapter and check what speed it is running at.

The router is a Sagemcom fast 5260 and the modem is a brand new modem from spectrum

Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections

Right click on the Ethernet connection and click Status and look for Speed

Settings->Network and internet->change adapter settings (the text it is a button)->Right click on whichever one is labelled ethernet-> status and there you'll see the speed

Do you have any motherboard software such as Killer software that might be doing QoS or anything?
