I got no idea how to build a pc

Poprock396

Budget (including currency): 1800

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I play a lot of Far cry, destiny 2, csgo, Escape from tarkov, etc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I bought a prebuilt when I was a kid a ROG G20AJ and I'm running a ASUS VG248QE monitor

I'm planning on giving this computer to my brother and building a new one and would really appreciate if someone could recommend me builds or helping me build my own.

How does that storage thing work? Would it have 5TB? Also what's the difference between the storages like IHD and SSD?

Yes you will get 5TB total.

1 TB for the system and programs. This will use the faster SSD Drive.

4 TB for everything else. This will use the slower IHD aka Hard Disk Drive.

A HDD is a hard drive. It has physical spinning disks to store data. Slower than SSD's

A SSD is solid state drive. It uses charges to store information. Some SSD's are faster than others but generally its PCIE and NVME > SATA

You would have 5 TB in total

Ryzen 9 3900X overclocked to 4.3-4.4 GHz

The user manual should do a fine enough job. But I would like to make a few changes to the original list.

You may want to look into something like a Corsair RM instead. Do you need 32 GB? if not and there is a sizable difference in price between a 16 gb kit, go 16 gb instead.

Ryzen 9 3900X overclocked to 4.3-4.4 GHz

You can just bring my list to a computer shop let them handle the build.

Most of the parts in interchangeable with similar model from other brands.

If they don't have it, ask them for a similar subtitution.

Or you can just buy them online and bring it all to the shop for a build fee.

but the question is, do you need it? are you going to do things that are rather RAM intensive? like are you going to video edit, 3d rendering, etc. Not that you can't go 32 Gb (after all I did) but there is a point of diminishing returns once you go high capacity
