Web cam turns on automatically

Hello everyone.

Whenever i launch any online game(valorant,cod warzone), my webcam light turns on automatically. It turns of when i exit these games.

It doesn't happen with single player games(witcher 3, jedi fallen order).

My webcam is logitech c170.

Can you guys help me with this issue?

if you have a nvidia card, try setting nvidia highlights off in the menu

 

Or alt+z to turn off from nvidia overlay

All of these games support voice-chat, they turn the microphone on your webcam on and that's why the camera's LED lights up.

Not all webcams do it, but most of them do. Also, if you have another microphone connected to your PC, the games are likely using that microphone instead.
