Psu damaged on the "case"

Hi guys I noticed just a day ago this damage on my Be quiet system power 9 600w, i need to worry about?

If the warranty still applies, replace it, otherwise just bend it back into shape. The casing of your PSU is just that: a metal casing. It's not electrically-charged, and doesn't need to be "insulated" despite what certain people may say.

i literally dont see anything wrong it looks slightly concave on the side, but that makes 0 difference 

AMD blackout rig

 

cpu: ryzen 5 3600 @4.4ghz @1.35v

Follow the lines on the DC table on the label and you can tell where the PSU is dented in.

Can I ask you something, when I was tighten the screws they were so hard to pull in, it's normal, i don't remind if the screws were from the case or from the psu

There should be an acetate (plastic) shield on the inside of the housing right there that prevents any live components from shorting against the metal housing.  So even if it looked like it was in a hail storm, it would still be ok.  

 

The kind of damage you want to avoid is either a dented in exhaust grill or a dented in intake where the fan is.  But the sides are fine.

 

Personally, I would exchange it.  But that's because I'm OCD.  :D

If you used screws that are too long, you can end up "tapping" into the PCB.  So definitely unscrew those screws and make sure they're not too long.

I doubt they will approve a RMA for something that is in all honestly, a minor cosmetic imperfection.

Do you have another picture with different angle of the damage?

It's hard to see in that one picture...

 

Not sure if this is damage you are talking about...or some kind of additional damage......or the camera  flash / reflection from angle of the picture

If its been working fine for that long, I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I'd also flip it over and have it suck from inside of the case if you can, so you can hide the minor damage. Your case feet don't seem that tall anyways.
