Motherboard constantly restarting due to surge protection

Hi,

so a friend of mine in a discord server recently had his power supply crap out. after a week of disuse he was able to replace the power supply but his asus motherboard kept restarting due to surge protection. i was wondering if there was anything i could tell him to try to fix it or any sort of reasoning as to why its happening

any help is appreciated

Depending on the quality of the wiring where he lives it could be a problem with power coming from the outlet.  This can be called "dirty power".

Have him try an UPS.  It might stabilize his power source.
