looking to get the 3600x this holiday season. Will I need to upgrade anything else such as the Power supply?

Power supply should be good, although it might be better to get a higher quality one or more watts. The evga w ones aren’t really that great. It should work fine though.

new PSU a 3600x isn't a good upgrade

This is still a very capable rig, you don't need to add anything if you don't have any problems.

Getting a 3600x won't boost it enough for you to notice it.

I suggest getting 5600x so you'll have at least 35% boost in single core. That's a lot.

 

If you really want to upgrade get another 16gb, as memory price is dead cheap right now.

Also add a 2-4TB HDD.

 

For the PSU unless you have problems don't change it.

Yes MSi stated all their B450 boards will support Zen3 CPU's. Not sure if it is yet available but eventually there will be a beta Bios.

 

Otherwise I would not upgrade anything, 3600x from a 2700x is basically a negligible upgrade. PSU is worth consideration for other future upgrades especially if you are looking at a new more powerful GPU in the future. But with your current hardware it, or even a R5 5600x, it is not something you need to upgrade now.
