Change thermal paste/pads on Laptop, Need help identifying

Been looking to improve the cooling on my laptops.

When I opened my laptop to have a look I noticed that the factory used something that looks like some kind of paste on the other components, do anyone know what type of prodoct is it? Can I replace it with normal thermal paste or pads? Or is there another product that could be better?
