Only getting 1080p 60hz on PS5, monitor issue?

Hi guys. Got a PS5 and I'm trying to get Black Ops Cold War to run at 1080p @ 120hz. I've switched the console to performance mode preference which should get the ps5 to run at 120. However I'm still getting 60hz? My monitor is a Samsung lc27jg50qquxen. It's a 1440p 144hz display with hdmi 2.0 and I've set the refresh rate to 120hz.

Is my monitor causing an issue in any way that is preventing me from having a 1080p @ 120hz picture? Or is this a ps5 issue that is out of my control?

I don't think that ps5 supports 1440p so it may have an issue with your monitor even though you're trying to run the game at 1080p it still has to downscale it.

The C27JG50 doesn't have 1080p 120 Hz in its supported format list, only 1080p 60 Hz. On PC this would not be a problem since you can set custom resolutions for formats that the monitor doesn't have in its internal list, but on consoles there is no such functionality, so you can only select modes that the monitor has pre-programmed in the EDID list.

Refer to the manual here:

No 1080p 120 Hz, only 1440p 120 Hz.
