muffled sidetone on corsair virtuoso

BurntNewt

I just bought a corsair virtuoso it is great so far however the sidetone seems to be completely muffled and extraordinarily quiet, My old void pro has super clear sidetone and is amazing. is there anyway to make it less cloudy and less muffled of a sidetone? cause it doesn't seem to be doing its job correctly

I mean, for sidetone the usual option is the behringer MA400 but that relies on a wired analogue connection, I'm not too sure if there's any option without major latency issues for wireless headsets.

I'm not too sure, any sidetone in that headset would be software controlled and would be designed by the manufacturer, this is why we don't tend to recommend 'gaming headsets' or wireless headsets because if something goes wrong everything is digital and proprietary.

Like I said, if this were an analogue headset the MA400 would be a perfect hardware option, since it's wireless I'm not too sure of any software options that wouldn't have terrible latency

  • 2 months later...

Hey Guys! I have been dealing with this issue for months and just finally found a way to fix it. Go into your mic advanced settings and change the Format from:

1 channel, 24 bit, 48000 Hz

to:

1 channel, 24 bit, 44100 Hz.

My sidetone volume on the Virtuoso at full volume is now comparable to my old HS60 at 50%, but it's still way better than it was. I am also planning on making a reddit post on this.
