My plan is to do some overclocking.

Gonna set cpu to 5.0 ghz, xmp on ram, and push the graphics card to a ... Well good level.. any recommendations is highly appreciated !! Thanks for any and all answers :)

If you're doing some overclocking, I'd upgrade the PSU.

You should be fine at stock speeds, but overclocking will almost certainly push you over the limit. Get at least a 1000W PSU.

That's bull, You power supplies gives what the pc asks for. The goal here is being efficient and not drawing too much and wasting energy.

no there is no problem with having more than you need. it could just be a little burn of money. infact if you have deep pockets, a larger psu of higher quality is a worthy investment if you ask me.

PC specs:

Ryzen 9 3900X overclocked to 4.3-4.4 GHz

Corsair H100i platinum

32 GB Trident Z RGB 3200 MHz 14-14-14-34

My Seasonic PX-1000 (OneSeasonic Prime PX-1000) handles my *530W* RTX 3090 FE and 10900k with ease.  Shunt modded.  I am using the official Seasonic 12 pin cable.  Hasn't tripped on me yet.

It's fine.

Although if you plan on OCing it and or getting a new BIOS for it since it's a 3X 8 Pin card then I would get a new PSU 850W or 1000W.
