I will do my best to add everything here with prices and links in case anyone is looking for ideas so if you have a link for the item, it would be awesome if you could include it.

  • Some new case fans for my PC
  • An Oculus Quest 2 (64GB) which will be my first VR headset
  • Maybe a new Xbox One controller for my PC? The one I currently use is borrowed from my brother.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

there's a xx10 (gt 710, gt 210) a xx20 (gt 720, gt 220) a xx30 (gt 230, gt730, gt 1030). I think xx40 is the only one that isnt used.

Well I didn't include the GT line since those were more for HTPCs so they weren't particularly relevant. And the GTS was a short lived series. So I mainly was focusing on the GTX and RTX lines. Maybe we'll see a RTX XX50? But yea, XX40 seems like the only tier they never used.

custom PCB I've been designing, which I should probably order super soon to have any chance of it arriving before 2021 and the stuff I need for that (components like microcontroller, soldering iron, etc.).

New case, definitely a 1TB NVMe SSD and a 4TB general storage hard drive and a motherboard upgrade to go with the case.

I'd love a new CPU and GPU, but truthfully, they power through what I need them to for now.

I hear ya. Built myself a much needed home NAS to get my filesystem in order and avoid screwups like my last windows reinstall. But would love to upgrade to a Zen 3 CPU, (using a 2700x on an X470 MB atm), sadly the NAS has dinged my bank balance a tad too much to be able to justify.

A 3070 OR *gasp* a 6800...

But I'll probably just end up getting a 2070 S, should be good enough for 1080p / 1440p for a long time, hopefully.

Then I'll also need a new PSU...

And a 1440p monitor with 144Hz *variable* refresh rate and G-Sync compatible...
