1440p 144hz or 1080p 240hz for RTX 3070 or RX 6800?

Prebuilt

Hey I need some help figuring out which one is the better deal. The 1440p 144hz monitor is currently priced at £260 and the 1080p 240hz is priced around £280. I may end up running a RTX 3070 or a RX 6800.

Thanks.

240Hz is for the most serious of gamers, people who really want to have the competitive edge.

For enjoying the games you play, 1440p makes a lot more of a difference than 240Hz.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

I guess it also makes sense that the target FPS on a lower refresh rate is easier to hit?

No. That plays no role at all. Your graphics card can output X amount of frames, and your monitor can display Y amount of frames.
