Pc won't turn on

Hello everyone. 

I've got a prebuilt PC, that I've been using for around 3. 

I went to turn in on today, and it just won't do it. 

At first I thought it might have been a tripped the switch in my extension cord, so I switched it to my wall socket. 

This unfortunately didn't work. 

I've tried to flick the PSU power button to both sides, because tbh I can't remember which is which. 

Last I used it was yesterday or the day before that. 

Any help is appreciated.

What happens when you press the power switch? I assume nothing at all?

Exactly. It's as if it doesn't have power.

Unfortunately that is bad news. Likely the power supply died, and it may have taken other components down with it. Do you smell a dusty burning smell coming from the system?

I do. That's a shame. 

Do you happen to know my options for data recovery?

It's unlikely that your data has been harmed, but it is possible. You can remove the drives and plug them into another system to recover your data.

I don't have another pc on hand at the moment, I'll test it when I get my backup PC delivered.
