Scalpers getting the shaft in the UK

Basically a dude thought he had secured an AMD card, posted it on ebay for 3x and even boasted about it on the forum. People flagged him to the store staff and he had his order canceled. There was another guy also, but not sure if he had his order canceled too.

They only have 2 models available of each SKU, all are AIB models, none can be ordered until November 25th and all are labelled with "VERY LIMITED STOCK"

 

Remember when AMD promised this wouldn't happen and even took a $10 bet on Twitter? :D

Scalpers, Gonna Scalp!

 

When stock is getting back to normal and scalpers still haven't sold to 4x prices, then we will win and scalpers will sell to msrp and gain nothing. 

Very unlikely but one can dream!

Scalpers will never sell for MSRP. There is no money to be made that way. Only way to beat scalpers is for ebay to take down those listings...

Noshit.. Supply and demand. If no limit for private customers, then scalpers will exist.

Overclockers UK have themselves been scalping as much as they think they can get away with on the latest releases. Ryzen 5000, RTX 3000 and RX6000 have all been marked up significantly compared to other UK retailers. They are known for usually being a bit on the expensive side but have been really pushing this more and more. Sad to see because I've shopped there in the past on a number of occasions but now they have dropped down on my list places to look for components.
