1080p144hz sorry about that

Nvm, pretend i didn't say that.

Yeah you should be fine playing osu and R6 on all low

As you saw in the title I am looking to buy a 1080p 144hz  monitor but was wondering if my PC could even make good use of a higher refresh rate I built my PC on a very tight budget so the parts aren't anything special. I mainly intend on using this monitor for "Rainbow Six Siege" and "osu!" I'm not interested in running high graphics I just want high frames and a high refresh rate. Are my parts good enough or do I need to upgrade?

Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (14nm) 3.1 GHz Quad-Core Processor
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

GPU: ASRock Radeon RX 570 4 GB Phantom Gaming D Video Card

PSU: EVGA 500 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply

If I need to upgrade please do let me know where and what you recommend.

Thanks in advance!

You can buy 144Hz monitor and check. You already wrote about update possibility so I assume after update you'll buy that monitor anyway. So just buy it and check.

Not only for 144Hz but also for freesync, so even when framerate drops, you'll not notice that.

he's getting 80 fps on ultra so if you lower it to high or medium you'll be getting more fps

Yeah that make's sense I just wanted to know what order was the smartest but buying the monitor first does seem better ty for the suggestion.

funny enough I actually saw this video back when I was building my PC I know that it can run ok frames I just didn't personally know if I could take full advantage of a 144hz monitor

Yeah, my 1050 can't run val at 144fps most of the time so the game feels really bad lol

No, R6 is wayy more demanding. It's just that the 1050 is alot worse than your 570

you don't need to have average 144fps to benefit from a 144hz monitor

just 90fps feels better than 60fps

ah so that's where I was misinformed I thought I needed really good frames to benefit from a higher refresh rate thank you letting me know that's not exactly the case.

Eh, kinda. Your still going to notice a huge difference between 144fps and 90fps on 144hz. If your getting 90fps on a 144hz monitor you are kinda "taking advantage" of the higher hz, but your not taking full advantage of it

Of course buying monitor first.

If it will be enough, you can skip computer upgrade for some time. If not - you'll end with second option and upgrade computer too.

You can't check it other way.
