Is your 2600X not overheating?

Is your RAM actually running at 3200?

Is your RAM running in dual channel mode?

I have a very similar processor and i get above 3000 points,so that's definitely point that your PC doesn't run in an optimal condition.

have you monitored temps? maybe the cooler isn't mounted properly. run HWInfo while running CB and monitor temps and frequencies. you should see around 4ghz all core and around 80C temps.

to be honest even 2600 points is low for a 2600x

That's why your scores are so low...

Your PC is very bloated.

Here is a screenshot from my task manager for comparison:

well, you get cb 3000 with a fresh windows install and no background programs. no wonder that on a work computer with lots of software installed and running in the background your cb score is almost half.

PUP = Potentially unwanted program

But that's not enough - you have to close any program that you don't use at the moment.

Just to name a few:

acrotray.exe

AdobeIPCBroker.exe

CCXProcess.exe

ctfmon.exe

Dashlane.exe

DashlanePlugin.exe

g2ax - all processes

Edge

Node.exe

OfficeClickToRun.exe

ReflectMonitor.exe

ReflectUI.exe

Snagit32.exe

SnagitEditor.exe

Team Viewer

TrueImageMonitor.exe

UPS - (since when UPS make programs?)

There are more but those should not be open in the background.

Considering that i use a 5 years old Windows install and maintain it very well - my score is still above 3000 points.

Just downloaded Cinebench R23 and got a 7519 multi score, which after checking on the net looks about right.

I closed all non essential programs and then ran a test on R20 and still got 1845 so no idea there.

Ran again on R23 and got 7515
