Not what I would choose for 1440p 165Hz, but maybe on really reduced settings it'll get near there?

if you're modding these games then you dont need to worry about them because they both run terrible with mods regardless of the hardware being used.

The monitor in my parts list is a 1440P 165Hz

If somone could please help me out...

Your GPU can't max out the monitor. If you can, get a cheaper 1080p 144Hz monitor. Also, the GTX 1660 Ti and Super beats the RX 5500XT for a bit more.

Question What do you mean by max out the monitor, and this is a 8GB card does the GB matter is 6GB enough to game on?

By maxing out the monitor, I mean getting the same amount or more FPS than the refresh rate at the same resolution. Your GPU can't really do 1440p at 165FPS at medium or higher settings, which is a waste since your monitor is really expensive, and you can't take advantage of the higher refresh rate, it will be automatically set to either 60Hz or 75Hz. The GB does matter in some cases, but since the card is really weak compared to the 1660 Ti and Super, I suggest spending some more to get the Ti or Super version.

MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti DirectX 12 GTX 1660 TI VENTUS XS 6G OC 6GB so somthing like this would be better so i should start out at 1080p and upgrade down the road.

I would suggest something more powerful. That 5500 XT is a *really* budget card for that resolution. If you want 165hz with 1440p I would suggest atleast a 5700. If you can wait a bit, google says that the 6700 line-up will be released in January. If you can wait, I would. Otherwise you should get something more powerful than a 5500 XT.

Ok, so first of all you should get a bigger SSD. 1-2 TB would be great (if you plan on having multiple games installed). Then the processor is 2 generations behind, which is really bad. You should change that to an AMD 5600X. And lastly the graphics card, the 1660 Ti is also from last generation, so not the best value proposition. You're sort of in luck in that new processors from AMD and new graphics cards from AMD & nVidia just launched, so if I were you I would grab those if I were building a new computer right now. I don't know your budget, but if those cost a bit too much, I would rather save up a few dollars than buy last-gen tech. That would future-proof your system for a much longer time. :)
