Big sure hackintosh on old mac (Nvidia)

I have a old 2013 mac and it doesn't support big sur and I want to hack it to get big sure. this is my first experience with a Hackintosh and I have no clue how to do it. I know big sur does not support Nvidia drivers so how would I do it? if no one knows its fine but I though this might be the right place to check before giving up.

Aren't NVIDIA GPUs unsupported in macOS? I'm not sure if there is a way without getting NVIDIA drivers through some method.

At least for Catalina, Nvidia was still supported.

Oh. I had heard that macOS has not had NVIDIA driver support ever since Apple hardware stopped shipping with NVIDIA GPUs. I'm sorry if I was mistaken.

What model number of Imac?

Might as well give it a shot, look over the features that have issues first to see if it breaks anything. Id keep the current version though, really no reason to go to os 11

You could always try hackintoshing it to catalina and trying to update it like that. Or you could just buy a new computer if you really want OS11 ;)

Main Computer:

13' Macbook Pro 2020

2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

16GB DDR4 Ram

Intel iris integrated graphics

1TB SSD

MacOS (Linux Mint on external drive)

School Laptop

13' MacBook Air 2020

M1

8GB unified ram

128GB SSD (Yikes)

Macos

Other Accessories

ASUS ProArt USB-C display

Apple Pencil 1st gen. (Lol I lost it so technically no)

iPhone 14 Pro

Keychron K8 (Gateron Brown)

Logitech G-Pro Wireless

AirPods Pro

Anker USB-C dongle (why apple, why)

1tb MyPassport USB3 drive

Paid Software

AirBuddy

Alfred Power Pack

Office 365

Crash Plan

Yes, but you could trick it into thinking it cannot support catalina and the update it to big sur, but that is just a suggestion

I take it you have an Early 2013 Mac? If so then you will need to use a patcher utility to install Big Sur. The Nvidia GPU shouldn't be an issue (though I haven't verified that) as older Nvidia GPUs are still supported. Newer cards (like the 10 series) are no longer supported.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

The 2012/early 2013 iMacs Wifi isn't supported, and Hard Drive performance takes a big hit, but otherwise they work fine with Big Sur.

Thank you but I don’t have Ethernet weird though my house so can’t do that but we could think of a extension of the WiFi with a Ethernet out in to the room where it is.

I would recommend just waiting until the hackintosh community can figure something out. Thats my advice
