RYZEN 5 3600 Air cooler

daZalotto715

Hey guys this is my first post so I don't know if this has already been posted about but oh well. So today I picked up a wraith prism cooler (the stock cooler for ryzen 7 cpus) I installed it with some noctua thermal paste and the thermals of my pc dropped by 10 degrees idle and 15 degrees under a cinnebench run. This cooler is about 50aud of ebay and I cannot recommend it anymore, I was going to pick up the new corsair capelix AIO but I have now decided not too because of how unnecessary it is now that I have this. I hope this helps someone

you spend 50aud on a stock cooler? You can pickup a h212 for 55aud (new) and probably 30 used, and that is better than the stock cooler depending on which one you get.

also a aio would be better no matter what. ANyone that thinks air would have lower temps is shitting them selves

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

Welcome to the forum, but obviously a better cooler and better paste will lower temps.

By no means is this a "must read"

I've ran 3600x with both and the 212 is more silent, not much difference in temp. A little but not much.

I believe the 3600x comes with a wraith spire cooler not the wraith prism
