Upgrade to Big sur on MBP 2015?

If I were to update it would it lag or cause problems with my MacBook pro since it is fairly old at this point its currently on Catalina.

It shouldn't really lag any more, esp with a clean install.

Id wait a big for some bugs to be worked out though, id wait for the .1 release.

Big Sur runs at least as good, if not better than Catalina did for me, if that's anything to go by.

Either way, you could always create a backup in case you decide to downgrade to an older version of macOS.

Sure, I don't see why that wouldn't work.
