Corsair ML120 vs Noctua NF-A12x25 as a case exhaust fan

celpas

I currently have an NZXT FN V2 case fan set as exhaust which came with the case itself and looking to upgrade. I care about cooling performance more than noise. Which one would be a better buy?

I don't think the exhaust fan will make a ginormous performance difference as long as one is there in most cases (intangible). What case (tangible) are you using? Upgrading the cpu cooler or intake fans will likely make more of a difference.

I am on a NZXT S340 Elite case. I have a Corsair H100i v2 front mounted as an radiator with its fans for intake. These have SP120L as the stock fans. Which upgrade would be recommended?

Definitely the intake fans. The s340 is pretty closed off so some higher static pressure fans would be highly recommended on the radiator. I recommend Noctua af-12x25, just because I've worked with af-14s going against my old 280mm radiator. That said, only upgrade if you are actually getting high temps, which would not be surprising given the setup.
