I do at least somewhat agree. It's much harder to increase framerate if you are CPU bound.

Well I disagree with the probably wording, most buyers will not drop down a GPU or CPU they will in fact spend more within reason and $100 over an entire system is well with reason as it could well be even less than 10%.

 

The most probable course of action is the simple decision of whether or not to spend $100 more. GPU is largely pre-decided and will not change.

As far as I know consoles run Zen 3 and RDNA2. It would be weird to have Zen 2 and RDNA2 together somehow. It just wouldn't make any sense.

The consoles use Zen 2.
