Usb switcher causes key repetition

Hi all,

 

I've recently tried two usb switches to allow me to swap my mechanical keyboard and mouse between a work and personal pc without unplugging. 

Both units have worked flawlessly it seems only until I join meetings on Microsoft Teams with a webcam and mic. 

Eventually while typing during the meeting the keyboard will become unresponsive and repeatedly enter the last pressed key. Usually, the only resolution is unplugging the usb switcher and plugging it back in. 

 

I've tried the UGreen 3.0 version from Amazon and another make both with the same results. 

 

Any idea whether this is something I can sort or if I need to ditch this usb switching idea :(?

Thanks for your reply. I've tried the newer version of this which is usb 3 and it caused these issues unfortunately.
