Upgrading my gaming rig which was built in 2014

Hello All.

Hope you are well.

I rely on your joint expertise. I am looking to upgrade my GPU, CPU, motherboard and RAM (maybe PSU but I have Corsair CP-9020091-UK  650W 80)

A computer to last for a while.

My current computer is

  • Intel Core i5 4670K with Noctua NH-D14
  • Corsair CP-9020091-UK RM650x 650 W
  • G-Skill (4GBx4) Ripjaws X DDR3 2133
  • EVGA Nvidia GTX 780Ti SC 3GB 384-bit Graphics Card
  • Asus Maximus VI Hero C2 Motherboard
  • Corsair Obsidian Series 750D ATX Full Tower
  • 4 SSD 1 HDD 1 M.2 (So dont need storage)

Budget (including currency): £1500-ish

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming. such as Watchdogs Legion.

Other details: I have mouse, keyboard, 3 monitors (Asus VC239), no preference with Intel or AMD

Thank you in advance.

😃

Basically wait like 2 and a half weeks. Why?

Ryzen 5000 launches in 6 days and the new amd gpu's in 19. That and you cannot get a rtx 3000 gpu anywhere so you'd be stuck with your current gpu anyways and the current system you have is pretty well balanced so yeah there is that. Then basically the moment reviews come out (probably the day before) and if the cards are good get on that preorder button. Then after that we can build a system around that easily.

Of everything in your computer I'd say the psu depending on the gpu, case and storage can be reused anything else is sell. Fyi that motherboard still sells online for a pretty penny and so will the ram. The nhd14 can be reused if you get a cheap adapter kit for the new socket which would be a great thing to have.
