Need advice Asrock B550m Pro4 or B450m steel legends

So in my country they retail about same price, I know that b550 offers higher rams speeds and pcie4 but steel legend looks fancier and has more ports. Which one to choose? are there any more other differences?

What processor are you pairing it with?

Also, if you want flashy go with steel legend.

If you want features go with pro4

3600x, or 3600 they retail kinda same price 3600x has better cooler so I'm considering it. As for ram XPG TUF Alliance ram 3200mhz. Local seller offered me mb and ram as bundle.

The B550M Pro4 is the obvious choice if they're the same price, but I personally wouldn't go for either of them unless they're your only options.

@Mateyyy oh why? I really like asrock boards I love white builds :D.

So I'll list what choices I have :

  • Asus ROG Strix B450 F
  • Asus B450m-PRO Gaming TUF
  • Gigabyte B450 aorus M
  • Asrock - B450m steel legend also Non M  Version
  • Asrock - B550m pro4

They are about same Price all of them. Consider that I'm not plannng o.c or something else I want just stable system, with some upgrade headroom

The Strix is a pretty good board if you don't want to use addressable RGB.

The Pro4 if you do

Oh sorry I meant better "Cooler", as I know it comes with wraith prism and regular one with spire. And in benchkmarks prism was way better

True, as you don't want to OC if you want better single core performance the 3600x is the better choice

-snip-

I'd get the B550M Pro4 out of the bunch. The B450 Steel Legend is just a B450 Pro4 with RGB and worse VRMs.

To be fair though, either will work for a 6-core just fine (in fact any of the boards you mentioned will), or even an 8-core like the 3700X.

Once you get into 12-cores and up and/or overclocking though, things might not be looking so good, so you'd be taking a hit when it comes to upgradability.

I normally wouldn't get the B550 Pro4 since MSI's B550M PRO-VDH and Bazooka are better for less, or slightly more respectively, in terms of their VRM.

Realistically though, for stock settings, the B550 Pro4 should work with even a 3950X.

This is not to do with the OP. But would the X470 Ultra Gaming be fine for a 3600? Even if I overclocked a little?
