3070 now or 3080 in 2 months?

SkillTim

I have a 3070!

After being on pre-order for over a month for an Inno3D 3080 Twin X2 OC, I cancelled that and got a 3070 the day after release! I heard bad things about noise levels on the X2. This Palit is whisper quiet. So happy with it.

This is more of a boast post than anything but I guess I'm asking the audience if they'd have a 3070 for the next two years or upgrade to a higher 30 series down the road?

Oh and if anyone can figure out why my nanominer is not doing anything that would be great.screenshot.thumb.jpg.7ba696301a5081632e9b39851f3fd8fd.jpg

Personally I would just like an RTX of any kind for the Nvidea noise canceling software (it looks really cool).

The 3070 is a great card, if you are happy with it there is no need to upgrade

I am happy with it and it suits my gaming needs. Could have mined more Etherium with 3080 but I guess I should count myself lucky. Changed from Nanominer to Claymore and it seems to be working.

Honestly, I'm going to save $50, and get a 6800XT. I was already planning on getting a 5800X, since I could do so for only $30, so I'll be getting more performance from the 6800XT than I would from the 3080.

If anyone's interested, The Palit OC Scan software gave my card a boost to 1925MHz GPU and 7201MHz RAM.
