The cheapest RTX 3070 as of now at Best Buy Canada is the Nvidia version at $679.99 and the most expensive is the MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 VENTUS 3X OC 8GB GDDR6X version at $759.99.  Add in 13% total tax for where I am in Canada (Ontario) by the way. Finally all cards sold out too but not like I had to say that.

Looking on Newegg.ca the 3070 is priced (converted to USD) from $525-$638. In local currency thats 700-850 loonies before sales tax.

Think our cheapest I've seen on Overclockers UK is £518.99, Which is around $670 (Inno3D) and the most expensive is  £679.99 ,which is around $880 (ROG Strix).

I've pre-ordered the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC for £449.99 ($580) from Overclockers UK and I hope to get it soon as my new monitor is arriving by next week!

Yeah our prices suck but they all do include 20% Tax

Agree. In Germany too the cheapest model i've seen was sold for 670€. I can really see how the MSRP was 499€ :D For this price you should go for a RX 6800XT even and get a lot of extra performance. Maybe AMD will come in to save the day. I don't expect them to have enough cards either, but maybe still enough to deliver at least some to actual customers. The cam make a big push into NVIDIA's market if they don't botch the launch like they did.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Here in Japan, the cheapest RTX 3070 is 70000 Yen (520 UK pounds, 670 US dollars).

I paid this for the Palit RTX 3070 Gaming OC (which is arriving tomorrow ;))

I saw the MSI Ventus 3X for sale and in stock at 14h for € 559, which was also the cheapest card I could find. All the others were easily € 600+. I put an order out for an RTX 3080 TUF for € 779, which I'm not going to cancel seeing those 3070 prices :)

Very true.

However what will the real price of the RX6800 be?

Supply and demand, if AMD's supply is as bad we will see the same scenario

I hope not, I actually how that people switching over to AMD will make overall supply better.

Better yet, Nvidia might bring a better game plan next gen due to the competition being "real" for the first time in 7 years

Next gen will be very interesting. Next iteration of Navi is rumored to be chiplet based like Zen CPUs, but with how GPUs operate I don't see the same infinity fabric latency issues existing at all. The purchase of Xilinx may help reduce costs, who knows. Nvidia Hopper has rumors of a chiplet based design as well, which if true means RTX 3000 series and RX 6000 series might get roflstomped by their own next gen replacements.

Got my non-OC Palit from overclockers.co.uk today. Manually overclockers nicely. Bit bummed that I couldn't get a 3080 by now but this sure beats my GTX 960 2GB!
