Hello, I finally got around to install my new Strix 3090 OC, and even got some new RT Series Cable Mod Pro cable set (I had a Asus Thor 1200w PSU).

Now the two 8 pin PCIe cables that come in the cable Mod pack do not fit into the Strix 3090, has anyone else had this issue? The my old 2080ti cables work and the 6 ro 8 pin PCIe cable work but not the two 8 to 8 pin.  The problem was with the card end not the PSU end.

Am I missing something here? Are we meant ot be using the 6 to 8 pin (which works by the way, just a bit worried that I'm not going to be getting the full power draw from the PSU)

Sorry I'm not very technical whe  it comes to putting PCs together.

You're trying the 6+2 PCIE power and not the 4+4 CPU power cables right?

They plug into the same ports on the PSU, but the GPU/CPU side is different.
