144hz all the way, people are often so addicted to the fluid visuals that they dont mind running games at their lowest settings just to see it.

but thats just my opinion on the matter.

In the specs for the AOC, it says 'Sync range 48-144', usually means a 144hz monitor but they describe it as 75.

Also, that samsung VA panel might actually look as good as (if not better than) the AOC panel. VA has better contrast than IPS anyway and I find that's pretty nice for games.

Even if my gpu cant get 144?

As 99% of my games are RPG and not competitive at all.

Why do you want to play RPGs at 144hz?

I was not planning for 144 and i got confused when i found a 75 and 144 at the same price

I thought the 144 was poor one

The samsung is curved. Ive never tried curved screens so iamnot sure if it will be comfortable for my eyes

Samsung panels are really good, that VA panel is probably better than most cheap IPS panels.

I have an RX 480, and I will turn settings down to achieve 80-100 fps in most games. I am sensitive to framerate though, you might not be. If possible, you should go to a tech store near you and try it out. Thats what I did and it cemented my purchase. I also doubt the IPS will have significantly better picture quality given that the manufacturer of the VA is samsung. They generally have good displays. You can also always return one if you arent satisfied.
