Can't wake PC from sleep with keyboard/mouse

Hi guys

So I had some problems with my PC in the last few days

It wouldn't boot into windows sometimes and randomly decide to not start at all after being left off for a bit, and it wouldn't wake from sleep via keyboard/mouse inputs.

After reinstalling windows completely clean, all of those problems seem to have gone away, except for me still not being able to wake it from sleep using keyboard inputs.

I've given the keyboard and mouse permission to wake the pc via device manager, and my Bios (Asus Prime B350 Plus) doesn't have an option to do with this either.

Honestly I'm completely lost and annoyed about this. I know it's not that big of a deal to press the power button on the thing everytime but it's much more convenient to use my peripherals and the fact that it stopped working after using this pc for 3 years without ever encountering this problem is just weird.

Sorry for the long post

Tl;dr

Pc won't wake with peripherals, what do?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance :)

Update your bios.

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-B350-PLUS/HelpDesk_BIOS/

If its current, flash it anyway.

Updating and flashing the bios cleared the nvram which is kind of an index of what hardware is there. This can sometimes get corrupted, and the easiest way to clear it is to flash the bios.

That or use the jumper or other method per the users manual.

I am kind of scared to do a bios flash for some reason but I'll try it

Thanks

You can clear the bios/nvram by unplugging the power cord, puling the battery thats on the mobo, and pressing the power button for 5 seconds.

you COULD try to update your motherboard BIOS. But i know that most motherboard BIOS has a setting for "wake from keyboard/mouse". Go look for that one first.

Update

I installed the latest bios, reinstalled all my drivers and now the pc does power on via keyboard and mouse but doesn't display anything

Sometimes after putting it to sleep the power to usb devices is cut and I hear a click sound I'd normally hear after shutdown, but when i press the power button it just wakes from sleep normally

I have no idea what's wrong with this thing and I'm going crazy

Please help 😅
