is Umidigi Trustworthy?

So, I've been looking for a new smartphone (mostly Sony phones), but I came across the Umidigi S5 Pro which seems like a pretty good deal for $300, but I'm not sure if I should get it because they have had a history with privacy leaks. I've also seen the BLU G90 Pro as an alternative, however, have the same problem as Umidigi. Should I go for the S5, should I just buy a Sony phone, what are your recommendations?
