Graphics card temperatur issue

Guest

I'm using a Phanteks P500A case (with 2 front intake and 1 rear exhaust fan), and I can't seem to keep my Asus strix GTX 1080 temperature under control. Playing a game like overwatch drives temperatures to 82c, even valorant was driving high temps while the card was at 60% usage. Not sure what's going on.

What are the temps of the other components?

Are the fans spinning?
Did you ever attempt to OC it?

Other components seem fine. VRM temp is usually around 40c, CPU (Ryzen 7 3800x with Noctua NH-U12a) is usually around 45c - high 60s.

The fans are spinning, I checked to make sure. Sometimes, when they spin at max, there's a weird noise though

Nope, no OC on the card. It's usually around 1800mhz when gaming

I hate the fact that I have to limit power and temps using MSI Afterburner

How warm is the environment where you are? That may contribute to it
