I don't see why not I wouldn't expect it to be hitting over 100fps at anything over low/med settings but if you're just playing Minecraft/casual E-sports at low/med settings it probs will be an OK experience. Would you mind listing what types of games you want to play?

You can run most of them, though a few newer games require the AVX instruction set which your CPU doesn't have and I don't expect you'd be anywhere near 60FPS for the Triple A games due to CPU bottlenecks, if you are thinking about buying this configuration I suggest you don't, otherwise you might manage with what you already have.

Don't let random strangers on the internet decide what you can and can not do.

In all seriousness, you'll be able to run most games, okay-ish. Some newer games require AVX, which your CPU does not have.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Fedora 38 x86_64

Secondary: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Fedora 38 x86_64

Server: AMD Athlon PRO 3125GE, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 ECC, TrueNAS Core 13.0-U5.1

Home Laptop: Intel Core i5-L16G7, 8 GB 4267 MHz LPDDR4x, Windows 11 Home 22H2 x86_64

Work Laptop: Intel Core i7-10510U, NVIDIA Quadro P520, 8 GB 2667 MHz DDR4, Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x86_64

Intel released a software that emulates AVX and SSE 4.2 for old processors, here is an example:

That's interesting I have never heard of AVX emulation, though it runs very slow which isn't practical as a solution
