Connecting a desktop to a laptop to transfer files

Go to solution Solved by homeap5,

Use lan, if both computers are connected to the same network, just use file and folder sharing.

This has to be a thing by now right?

Can I just connect my new laptop (an Aoris 7) to my desktop by some USB cable or even an Ethernet cable to just move steam games through to not have to waste time/bandwidth downloading them again? I know I can use a flash drive, which I was planning on doing before the first game came out to about 50GB vs. my 16GB drive, but there has to be a better way. And would I have to enable something to get it to work?
