Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics harware

Hello!

 

I am getting the captioned error whenever I run games. Anyone else faced this issue and found a solution?

 

My config:

GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS ULTRA
Intel® Core™ i7-8700K clocked at 4.3 Ghz
RAM CORSAIR VENGEANCE® RGB 32GB (2 X 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHZ C16 MEMORY KIT          
GRAPHICS CARD ZOTAC GEFORCE® GTX 1080 TI AMP EXTREME 11GB GDDR5X
SAMSUNG 960 EVO 250GB M.2 NVMe Internal Ssd (MZ-V6E250BW)          
CORSAIR MID TOWER CABINET (ATX) - 570X RGB WITH TEMPERED GLASS SIDE PANEL          
           
CORSAIR SMPS TX750M - 750 WATT 80 PLUS GOLD CERTIFICATION SEMI MODULAR PSU WITH ACTIVE PFC          
           
COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB Cpu Liquid Cooler          
         
KEYBOARD + MOUSE COOLER MASTER MASTERKEYS LITE L RGB COMBO

UPDATE:

 

It seems this issue was being triggered by the fact that my card is factory overclocked. I have now activated NVIDIA's Debug Mode and everything runs smoothly. I am wondering why this could be happening though. My guess is that I won't be able to make full use of the card is I have to underclock it :(
