Hello all. I am looking to replace my old laptop which I have had for over 9 years and I am looking for an mid gaming laptop. My budget is around £500-600, It must have an Ethernet port and a headphone jack.

Ok thanks - well for older games, pretty much any new £500-£600 laptop is going to run them fine, so it would come down to the laptop display capability. Any preference on screen size, or game refresh rate? The 120Hz+ screens will eat into the budget a fair bit, vs a standard 60Hz one, but if you only want smooth 60FPS rather than super fast response, then it opens more options.

60Hhz will be fine.

i5-9300H, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB

 

But shop around on a similar spec and you'll surely find something under £600.

Actually, the Intel model wins as it has the OS SSD and a second 1TB HDD.

i'd like to have a gaming option just in case I plan on playing other titles
