should i replace my old psu or not

Well i have the f tier corsair psu (650w orange lable) and it worked for about 4 years i5 3570k+ gtx 670 and now a rx580 for 2 years. I am planning to sell the pc to a friend who is on a fx+gtx650 or so and i have no idea how bad a f tier psu is, so should i think about getting him a better psu or not ?

Yes, it is bad. Also old, which elevates the risk of issues.

Sell them the PC and then it's up to them if they want to replace it or not. Don't waste your money replacing the power supply on a system you're selling to someone else.

hmm, guess i gonna look up how much a simple mid-tier 450-550 w costs, should be enough for this

hardware really doesnt like it when you have group regulated PSUs going out of spec. which can lead to boards etc etc dying.

Its like buying a brand new car and then selling it to someone else for 20-30% less, leaving you stuck with the new price tag and your 2nd owner taking advantage of those savings because you bought new.

it means the 12v and 5v are regulated together. its related to the topology of the PSU.
