4 pin case fan powered directly from psu must be at full speed???

dfsgsfa

so my mobo ran out of fan headers, if i add a fan, i had to use a splitter (which i dont have) or redo cable to psu 12v cable.

but only 12v and ground would be used, meaning fan is always 100% load??

all i want is quietness

would adding resisters help? or other simple ways?

If you want it to be quiet, use a fan controller. You can connect all your fans to it and run it from only 1 fan header.

@dfsgsfa

if the fan is directly connected to the PSU it will always run at max rpm.

Your best option would be to buy a fan controller.

-> Moved to Air Cooling

You will need resistors. But since you probably need to buy those too, I would advice taking the splitter route instead.

wrong guess, i have plenty of resisters, capsule /pill size one, though its a nightmare to figure the ohm by cheching the coloured rings
