you made sure the ram is running at the appropriate speed?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Check if it actually running on Dual-Channel mode. You can use software like CPU-Z.

@mythical_wyvern

Per the manual for Gigabyte B550M-DS3H,

Memory is reccomended to be installed in A2 & B2

image.png.ae8fae3e8b41ca598ee6068ee3fcc9c3.png

A & B are each a single channel. You need to have memory in both channels to enable Dual-Channel memory (with associated performance boosts)

You say it is just some games.   Are you sure you just aren't cpu bound at those games?

What cpu and what games? What is your CPU utilization like in those games?

I refuse to read threads whose author does not know how to remove the caps lock!

It can't be my cpu it's a amd ryzen 5 3600x and it also happens in MC which di don't think is cpu heavy it happens on bf5 mc and cod warzobe usually my cpu utilization is beneath 70% I have watched vids where the 5 3600x wasn't bottlenecking a 2080ti in bf5 it coult be my gpu gets to hot but it only get 60 degrees

I checked and my gpu downclocks itself so I tried removing the temp limit but dint really fix anything now it's at 80%

If your RAM is  running in Dual Channel, at spec, it's not the issue.

First check if you're running VSync/GSync/FreeSync or not as that will limit your GPU's load because it won't let your frame rate go above your set refresh rate.  If that's not forced on, try uninstalling your GPU drivers, running DDU uninstaller to clear up any cobwebs the drivers might leave behind, the reinstalling the latest drivers that are supported by your OS/GPU from NVidia or AMD's website.

In the future when looking for tech support of this type, it's very helpful to have your system specifications either in your signature, or in the post asking for help, so we know what you're working with.

Primary Rig:

CPU: Intel i9-9900K @ 5GHz 1.31V ~  Mobo: Gigabyte Z390 AORUS Master

CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Floe RGB 280mm AIO (Push/Pull with Thermaltake Riing & Pure fans)

RAM: 4x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3600MHz CL16 (F4-3600C16Q-32GTZR) @ 4000MHz CL17 1.42V

GPU: eVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra @ Stock (for now)

PSU: eVGA SuperNova P2 1200W - Case: Thermaltake View 91

SSDs/HDDs: Samsung EVO 860 500GB, Samsung EVO 860 1TB, Samsung QVO 1TB, Seagate FireCuda 2TB (Hybird HDD)

Windows 10 of course - which I don't mind, so far

Minecraft is very cpu heavy, and BF5 multiplayer is cpu heavy.   You aren't giving alot of information.

What's the rest of your build, cpu utilization during these games, what is the temp of your cpu while gaming, what are your frame rates like? Do you have vsync on?

Minecraft may not use your gpu at 100 percent because it isn't a graphically demanding game.
