DT 770 pro 80ohm with a modmic 4 uni (These headphones will require a pretty good mobo amp or external/internal amp/DAC soundcard). Or Sennheiser HD559 with a modmic 4 uni. the HD559 are open back and are more flat and clear sounding.

PM or DM me if you have any questions about audio.

No it is definitely not. First off. These are marketed as "gaming" headsets which means they focus mostly on the design, RGB, and the badly implemented USB soundcard which will most likely begin to crackle after a couple of months. The sound quality is horrendous. It is muddy and not clear at all.

I get where you are coming from, As an audiophile myself he wants something for $200 not $600.

I disagree on the Muddiness but sound is relative to the person.

Would there be much difference between the 80ohm and the 250ohm in terms of overall sound quality?

That is kinda bad. Also stats don't really matter you know that right.

80ohm are a bit louder and wont be as hard to drive. You will definitely need an amp for the 250ohm version. But in terms of sound quality. Literally almost no difference. Maybe the 250ohm are more refined but you wouldn't really notice.

What DAC would you suggest? if i go for DT 770 pro. My mobo can handle it, but i want an alternative.

Quote

Sennheiser HD559

would this be better overall? compared to something like Sennheiser HD 569.

Thank you for your help, really appreciate it.

The 569's are closed back. Meaning they block out sounds. Open back are better for a more enjoyable listening experience overall. But you don't need an amp/DAC for the 559's. Also do you need a mic on them?

Would it be worth the sacrifice? i am thinking about an all around headphone, don't want to annoy people around me.

True. Then the 569's will be perfect.

Id have paired them with a schiit magni heresy, so apart from being harder to drive theres no real noticeable difference? Hmmm interesting!

Thanks for that

Well there is some. Some frequencies wont "reveal" themselves when not amped. Since beyers headphones are harder to drive than for example some sennheiser headphones.
