The iPhone SE 2020 doesn't have 5G. People would not be moaning... reviewers would

Though in all honestly... how many consumers are really hyped about 5G? For applications like IoT devices, I can see the excitement in 5G. But for your average joe who uses data while on transit... I can't think of viable situations where LTE isn't good enough.

A lot of consumer don't know what "G" is... "Oh! You have 5G?, I have 64G" "I have Unlimited G's per month", is the typical things I hear.

Everything is confused. But, from what I can see, more G's the better! The sales rep just needs to go and say "Oh this is only 4G, this is 5G!", and boom, 5G phone sold.

But yes, I agree. 4G LTE is plenty fast. And 5G is just rushed released. The specs haven't been officialized. This is going to be Wireless-N router mess all over again, I suspect. And from what I hear, 4G LTE, has a lot of optimization headroom that could have been performed... so if we didn't have 5G, we would have.. I don't know LTE+ or something.

Is all of 5G hacked with backdoors from China or just 5g phones from China?

That is why I am reluctant to purchase 5G.

The concern is that Chinese companies making 5G infrastructure, like Huawei and ZTE, might have backdoors in their particular equipment. (Numerous non-Chinese companies make 5G telecom gear.) There hasn't been any publicly presented proof, and the phones weren't really the focus of concern.

In other words: you have nothing to fear about getting an iPhone with 5G in it.
