Zen 2 vs Zen 3

i still have no idea whether i should get a 8 core ryzen 7 3700x zen2 processer or ryzen 5 5600x zen 3 processor 

will the Modern Ryzen 5  still be  very good for streaming/gaming, and the higher IPC of upcoming architectures will it bring improved gaming performance?

The Zen 3 CPU's aren't out yet, we can't accurately judge it.

Sure, it will likely be better in single-core tasks, but by how much? If you're streaming with CPU encoding, the extra single-core speed should out-weigh the four threads you're missing out on the 5600X.
