The reason I like Linus: Even though Corsair is a sponsor, he gives an honest review on their product. You know if Linus makes a review, it aint no bullshit!

18x3 (54) macro, LCD, and dedicated soundcard with the awesome Logitech software. Bought it for about $50 2-3 years ago. $80 is just stupid for a membrane keyboard, even with a Corsair branding on it.

Is this RGB mechanical keyboard, AKA "THE BONE", coming this summer?

$80 for this POS?

It's not even mechanical.

I'd rather spend the extra $20-$70 for a proper Filco, Ducky, or DAS keyboard.

For $50 I can get a non-backlight Cherry MX Blue keyboard(monoprice). Which is what I did and I am currently typing on and currently love.

This keyboard is worth $40-$50 TOPS.

I don't know what I think about Linus' reviews anymore. While he do give a fair review, he's just too biased. He's holding Corsair's hand and can't go through a single negative point without a "but". He even pulls a baseball reference... WTH? If you compare this to his Razer reviews he's like a puppy. In the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate review he rants on the freaking box for 10 minutes, rambling about that they're decieveing us, making us believe that we're buying Cherry MX switches. The fact is, wherever it said Cherry MX Blue before, it now says Razer Green. That's good enough for me. What about Corsair's claim of 16,9 million colors? Barely even touched it.

While I probably won't stop watching Linus' reviews even if he keep going like this, I thought I'd share my opinion since I found this highly disturbing.

If you're able to, when you get the mechanical rgb keyboard, I'd love to see the lighting compared on the two. And my g510 seemed to be just as crappy with much beyond red, blue and green.

Linus said "We should start like a chant, in the comments" but comments are disabled. Should we start the chant here?

  • 6 months later...

I'm a little unsure about the backlight software, can it have more than one color at a time?
