Prioritise People I Follow

When I @ mention people, I mention people that I follow. Most of the time, at least.

It's annoying when there are so many similar usernames so it would be more convenient.

Totally agree. Would also be great to sort by recently active/highest reputation as well. As with all platforms, there are plenty of dead accounts, but sifting through them to find the person you're actually looking for can be pretty annoying.

Yea I like that idea. I think it would be nice if mention suggestions could show:

People you follow
Others who have posted on the thread.

rather than just a global search of all members on the forum. Especially with all of the burner accounts people make here solely for giveaways like ROG Reboot, it would be nice to be able to exclude them from the searches.

It makes sense, and I've added it to my suggestions tracking to look into in future. I think prioritising people who have participated in the topic already would be a good factor to use, but that is more complicated - either sorting by followers or post count should be reasonably feasible though.

I think this would be the best option regardless, sometimes I want to tag someone who has not participated in the thread at all but may find it interesting or be helpful to OP.
