Powerstrip overload when PC is off?

You can always flip the power switch on the power supply,it will make sure no power reach the unit.
I use a Bitfenix Formula Gold 650 Watt... I flipped the power switch on the back, and my power strip had the same light on.

I will try a different powerstrip, and actually yes, the line of power these outlets are on runs through 4 rooms in the house and is on one breaker. The whole place was wired terribly. The outlets are also not very good. I plan to replace every outlet in the house.
