Do you frequently change your mobile ringtones?

I know loads of people who like to switch their ringtones and notification sounds on a regular basis. I don't do this; I like to keep mine the same so that I can instinctively know that any given phone ring is mine... I also have difficulty finding ringtones which I actually like.

Nope. I've had the same ringtone for the past three phones I've owned. I did have to change my text notification tone recently though. I accidentally deleted the folder the file was in and I'm too lazy to reinstall Zedge and try to find that notification sound again.

I'm still using the default ringtone because iPhone and how tedious it is to make a custom one.

I just have my phone on vibrate nearly all the time, so I'd never hear a custom ringtone even if I did have one.

Sometimes I change it from vibrate to silent or back, but otherwise no.

I haven't used any notification sounds for over 6 or 7 years - basically since I got my first smartwatch.

When I don't have my smartwatch with me, I simply set it to vibrate only.

 

But if I had a ringtone, it would be this:

Yes, that's an actual ringtone from the early 2000s. (Or I guess was sold as one, Remember when you could still buy these on MTV and such? LOL)

Can't you just make it on your computer and copy it over USB? That's what I do (though I have a moto g, not an iphone)

I can't, it's the sound of my phone vibrating on tempered glass so it's going to sound the same regardless

Meh. I only bothered to change the default ringtone in the first place because my hubby complained about it. I just don't care enough.

With iPhone you have to use iTunes to convert it to some proprietary format if I remember correctly, then transfer it via iTunes. I'm too used to Samsung where you can just select whatever song you have in your music library and it'll automatically find the highlights of the track (it usually does a good job with that) and uses that as the ringtone.  

 

I recently just reinstalled Windows on my computer so I don't even have my full music library on my phone since iTunes sees this new install as a new computer. So I have to clear whatever music I had on my phone in order to be able to manage music on it again. It's one of the only things I hate about iPhone. It's like Apple doesn't realize there's a possibility a customer may have both an iMac and MacBook (not my case, but similar and something Apple should've thought about) and would like to manage their iPhone seamlessly between the two. Nah. Remove all of your music every time you want to sync from different computer. Ok mini rant over.

i like some ringtones which is quite mild and solf , then after 15 sec or so its loud as hell

I just switch to custom from default, to know it is my phone that is ringing. But I have the same custom ringtone and notification for about 8 years now.

Remember back in the day when everyone used a Nokia or Sony Ericsson phone and kept the default ringtone? So whenever one rings, everyone in the food court would check their phones?
