LiquidText arrives on Windows 10 (including Win10 on ARM)

GoodBytes

I don't normally talk about apps, but I think this one is particular as I think it will interest many people on this forum including students, and is quite popular.

The popular app LiquidText has now arrived to Windows 10 including for Windows 10 on ARM devices (Surface Pro X users, rejoice!)

LiquidText is a note taking utility designed to process documents which can imported in the program. It does it by helping you review, gather and organize all sorts of data from documents.

In my opinion, it is a great tool for students and know who need to process through documents. Documents can be PDFs, webpages, Word document, PowerPoint presentation, Excel sheet or images.

The app is designed to work great with standard laptop or desktop system, but it support all digitize pen technologies which natively work with Windows (so, basically Wacom and N-Trig), for not taking and drawing.

LiquidText is a unique app for marking up documents and connecting ideas. It allows you to create connected charts of content from PDFs, webpages, and other documents. The iPad version of LiquidText earned the Most Innovative iPad App of the Year and Editors' Choice awards from Apple, and now it's available for the Surface Pro X and other Snapdragon-based PCs.

LiquidText takes a different approach to marking up documents than many other apps. Rather than just reading, adding notes, and highlighting content, you can connect content through "Liquid Links." These links allow you to connect content from different documents, making it easier to reference connections in the future.

This short video by the company, makes a great demo of the power and usefulness of the application:

The app is free. But there is a Pro version which includes additional features like:

  • Pen support with a variety of actions you do with the pen
  • Have Multi-documents inside a single project file

The Pro version is one time payment of $29.99, or $19.99 if you are a student.
